Ever noticed that Vainglory update size in Play Store show smaller size instead of actual size? Well, you can save your data plan by using this simple trick, by using OBB file you had then you can save lots of data plan (say no to your stingy ISP).
WARNING : There may have some side effect for using this trick such phone lagging while Installing Vainglory and in-game bugs may found while playing, proceed with your own risk.
Make sure you have Backup OBB from matching version. For example, you have version 3.0 (70001) installed, then you must have OBB file from that version too. To know what's your OBB file version, check their names, it will shown "main.xxxxx.(package name).obb" where "xxxxx" indicates the version of the OBB file.
1. Copy your OBB back to sdcard/Android/obb/com.superevilmegacorp.game (create that folder if not exist).
2. Clear VG's data (in some cases, you must do it, otherwise Play Store will redownload the whole thing).
3. Go to Play Store and Update normally.
- If there's a warning for updating an app using Mobile Data, untick "Download using Wifi only" then tap Continue
4. Wait for Play Store to update the game (if done correctly, Play Store page will show 100 MB instead of 1 GB)
5. Please be patient, be warned that your phone may lagging while installing, this is normal since Play Store will inject Delta's (part of file that's changed) to your OBB.
6. After VG are updated, DO NOT OPEN VG YET! Instead, go back to folder path where you pasted the OBB file then copy it back somewhere for next update.
7. Finally, open VG and wait for it to extract the data from OBB.
Go ahead and play Vainglory now, there's no reason to hold back from updating VG.
